PCVIS held its annual meeting on September 23, reflecting on a year centered on storytelling, CVI awareness, education, and advocacy.

Members learned about:

• A digital awareness campaign that has generated more than 1.9 million impressions and helped increase website traffic by 120%.
• Membership numbers. We are now at 225 members, a 19% increase from the start of the year.
• The launch of its professional development webinar series and continued growth of the CVI Knowledge Base, which provided high-quality educational content to our community.
• Progress in advocacy and outreach.
• New board members who are filling important positions, including a CVI self-advocate and treasurer.
• Financial updates.

The meeting took time to broaden perspectives about CVI, with special guests. Neurologic music therapist Marie Miller showed how songs, high-contrast visuals, tactile props, and lighting support learning for students with CVI. The Red Balloon Foundation shared how CVI training in South Africa is changing outcomes for children.
