Taking Our Mission to New Heights

Your generous support enables the Pediatric Cortical Visual Impairment Society to fulfill its mission. We see a future where children with cortical visual impairment (CVI) have visual access to the world around them. All children with CVI deserve appropriate medical care, education and intervention. There is so much work to be done to create a world where this is the norm.

Your donation will allow for advancement of the mission and goals of PCVIS:

1 Advance interdisciplinary education and research.

2 Enhance dissemination of information and its communication among and between professionals, parents, government, and educational institutions, and other groups that impact children with CVI.

3 Advocate for the appropriate allocation of resources to allow for improved vision services for children with CVI.

4 Improve public and professional awareness of CVI in children.

5 Advocate for governmental policy that improves quality and quantity of vision services available to children with CVI.

6 Engage in fundraising activities that will allow for advancement of the mission and the goals of PCVIS.

"CVI is an epidemic. It's going to get bigger, not less. CVI should be seen as a major health care crisis. It deserves social services. It deserves medical services."
