Getting there

If you are visiting from out of town, we recommend taking a rideshare to the event. There is also free parking on site.

Once you arrive

PCVIS and Children's Home representatives will meet you in the main lobby and direct you to the meeting. If you are attending an Innovations in CVI pre-conference workshop, you’ll already be in the right place.

Prepare to Share Your Story

We will have opportunities for people attending the annual meeting and the Innovations in CVI conference to share their experiences on camera. Please help us fulfill our mission by participating. The videos will be used in future professional development and CVI awareness building. Here is a list of prompts to help you prepare.

Medical

3 What do you want other medical practitioners to know about children with CVI?

4 What is the most powerful way you feel you can impact the life of a child with CVI or their family?

Education/Therapy

3 What is one CVI characteristic that is often misunderstood? 

4 What is one thing you want families to know about their children with CVI?

5 What is your favorite strategy to support individuals with CVI? (e.g., instructional, dressing, play, etc.)

6 Share a piece of advice you learned from someone else that changed the way you work.

7 What new information did you learn this year that changed the way you work with individuals with CVI?

8 Share a recent success. What made it possible?

9 What do you want new practitioners in your field to know about children with CVI?
